plagiarism

When I read a book that I love and a few months later I read one that a friend has suggested and find out that it is almost like the one I just read. The key word is "almost". The Author has not written word for word what someone else has written but close enough that I as a reader has noticed. I would be very upset if someone took credit for writing what I have put my time and soul into. I would take legal action against them because they have taken all of my hard work and research and used it for their own. Laws are set for those who try to take credit for someone Else's work and I think they should enforce those on even the writer who use the idea of another book for themselves.
